Bintoro, MP Intan Sapitry Febrianti Program Studi Teknik Produksi Benih, Jurusan Produksi Pertanian ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was conducted to know the effect of harvest age and the type of strain on the viability of soybean seeds to be harvested. This study uses a randomized block design (RBD) factorial. There are two factors in this study are harvesting factor (U) and strain (G). U factor consists of 2 levels are U1 (harvest age 0), U2 (harvesting age + 5). G factor consists of 6 levels are G1 (GHJ 1 strain), G2 (GHJ 2 strain), G3 (GHJ 3 strain), G4 (varietas malabar), G5 (NSP strain) and G6 (strain GHJ 6). Each treatment was repeated 3 times. The results of the study were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) and if there is a real difference will be tested further by using the Least Significant Difference (LSD) at the level of 5% and 1%.. The results showed that the age difference does not significantly affect the harvest of all the parameters observed. The use of the type strain had no significant effect on all parameters observed. And there is no interaction between the different types of harvesting and strains against soybean seed viability. Key words: Soybean, harvesting age, the type strain
