ABSTRACT
One of the methods to increase the production of peanuts are using phosphorus and compost fertilizer. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of different doses of phosphorus and compost fertilizer on the growth and seed production of peanuts. This study was conducted in July 2013 to November2013 at the farm field of Seed Production Technic Department of Agricultural Production State Polytechnic of Jember. The study was conducted using a Randomized Block Design (RBD) consisting 2 factors. The first factor is the doses of the phosphorus fertilizer consisting 4 levels and the second factor is the doses of the compost fertilizer consisting 3 levels. Further test using the F test at 1% and 5% level. The results showed that the use of phosphorus fertilizers doses 70kg/ha (P2) gave real significantly effects in parameters total of flower at 30 dubs. The use of compost fertilizer of 5 t/ha (K1) gave real significantly effects in plant high, and doses of compost fertilizer 10 t/ha (K2) gave real significantly in total branches at 15, 30, 60 dubs and total of flowers at 45 dubs and 60 dubs. The use combination both of fertilizers doses phosphorus 50 kg/ha and compost 5 ton/ha (P1K1) gave real significantly effects in plant high at 15 dubs, whereas the use combination both of fertilizers doses of phosphorus 110kg/ha and compost 10 t/ha (P4K2) gave real significantly effects in total of branches at 60 and 75 dubs, and the speed grow with the best doses is using combination both of phosphorus 90 kg/ha and compost 15 t/ha (P3K2).
