ABSTRACT
Medical record is one of the supporting units of health service, especially in RSUD dr Haryoto Lumajang. Productivity of perfomance the officers in work unit can be affected by spatial, so that the aspect ergonomic of space also need to get attention. Based on observations in the work unit of medical record, it is known that the space is not yet ergonomic. The room is narrow because of the arrangement is not good and nothing matches the flow of medical record file. The work unit of medical record RSUD dr Haryoto Lumajang has not provided a room that suits the needs of the work unit that does not have room for the head of the medical record and the soul storage room for outpatient medical records. The above matter makes the medical record work unit space inefficient. This research aims to redesign the space of the medical record work unit with an ergonomics approach to improve the existing order for the better so that it supports the performance of officers in performing services, providing comfort and safety for officers and efficient. The research method used is qualitative research with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, documentation studies and Focus Group Discussion. Design resulting from this research is the new design of medical record work unit with the arrangement has been in accordance with the flow of medical record file, better infrastructure and adequate as well as the addition of a room which has been according to needed.
