ABSTRACT

Tansport sector is the largest source of air pollutants, almost 70% of urban air pollution is caused by motor vehicie activity releasing exhaust emissions such as CO, HC, NOX, SOX, and O2. The cause is the number of vehicles that continue to increase from year to year. The recommended technology is using of converter catalysts is the exhaust gas chennel system, which is expected to assist or accelerate the process of changing a chemical reaction substance so that gases such as CO can oxidize to CO2. In this study we using catalyst converter CU based which is expected to reduce exhaust emission test results using a converter catalyst can reduce CO emosions by 0.36% - 4.97% at 1400 rpm and HC emissions of 339 ppm from 13716 ppm</note>
