Relation of Macro Nutrition Substance, Fe Intake and KEK Status to Pregnant Women with LBW Events in Wuluhan Health Center, Jember Regency

ABSTRACT

Intake of macro nutrients and iron intake are important factors to support pregnancy and childbirth. Lack of macro nutrient intake and Fe intake causes lack of intake in KEK pregnant women, impaired infant growth and development. This study aims to determine the relationship of macro nutrient intake, Fe intake and SEZ status in pregnant women with the incidence of LBW in the Wuluhan Health Center in Jember Regency. The study was conducted in June-July 2018, using the cross sectional method with the number of subjects 23. The research instrument used the SQ-FFQ form, the subject biodata form, informed consent form, approval form after explanation and Nutrisurvey. Data analysis used is the chi-square test.
The results of the univariate study showed that energy intake in the less category was 14 subjects, protein intake in the less category was 14 subjects, fat intake in the good category was 21 subjects, carbohydrate intake in the category was less than 10 subjects, intake of Fe in the category was enough as much as 12 subject and SEZ status as many as 15 subjects. The bivariate test showed the relationship of energy intake, protein intake, carbohydrate intake, SEZ status (p= 0.018, p= 0.018, p= 0.032, p= 0.000) and there was no correlation between fat intake, Fe intake (p= 0.059, p= 0.275) . The conclusion of this study is that there is a correlation between energy intake, protein, carbohydrate and KEK status in pregnant women with the incidence of LBW in the Wuluhan Health Center in Jember Regency.
