Differences in Protein and Iodine Intake in Under-Nourishedand Normal Nutritional Toddlers in Mangaran Village,Ajung District, Jember Regency. Nur Azizah Sahari Putri Study Progam Of Clinical Nutrition Department of Health ABSTRACT Nutritional status is the state of the body as a result of food consumption and use of nutrients. Classically the word nutrition is only related to the health of the body, which is to provide energy, build, and maintain body tissues, as well as regulate life processes in the body. This research was conducted in August 2018. The purpose of the study was to analyze differences in protein and iodine intake in underweight and normal malnourished children in Mangaran village, Ajung sub-district, Jember regency. Type of research Survey approach, observation with Cross Sectional design. The subject retrieval technique in this study uses the Cluster Sampling technique. obtained a sample size of 26 respondents. Data analysis was carried out namely Univariate and Bivariate Analysis by using Independent t-testand Mann Whitney on SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Science) Software version 16.0 to find out the difference between dependent and independent variables. The conclusion of this study is that there a difference between iodine intake in undernourished children and normal malnourished children (P-Value = 0.001) and there no difference between protein intake in malnourished children and normal malnourished children (P-Value = 0.366).
