ABSTRACT
This aim of this research to determine the effect of protein level and metabolic energy on life weight, carcass weight, and carcass percentage. The object used was 200 male laying hens and were given treatment in weeks 1 to 8 weeks. The design used was a completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 5 replications. The treatment is P1 (protein 22% consist of metabolic energy 3100 kcal / kg), P2 (protein 20% consist of metabolic energy 3000 kcal / kg), P3 (protein 18% consist of energy metabolism 2900 kcal / kg), and P4 (protein 16% consist of metabolic energy of 2800kcal / kg). The obtained data were analyzed by ANOVA followed by BNT test using 1% level of significant. Based on the results of this research it can be concluded that the effect of protein level and metabolic was significantly different (P<0.01) on carcass weight and weight, but does not affect the percentage of carcass.
