The Correlation of Vitamin C Intake, Zinc Intake, and Nutritional Status with Blood Glucose Levels in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Patients at Rumah Sakit Umum Kaliwates Jember Regency Kukuh Prayitnaning Adi Study Pragram of Clinical Nutrition Majoring of health ABSTRACT Diabetes mellitus has been an degenerative disease that cannot be cured. Factors that cause diabetes mellitus can be from internal factors or external factors. One of the factors related to diabetes mellitus is food intake and nutritional status. The purpose of this research was to determine the correlation between vitamin C intake, zinc intake, and nutritional status with blood glucose levels in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients in Rumah Sakit Umum Kaliwates, Jember Regency. The research method uses analytical survey with cross sectional design. Subjects in the research were 18 subjects selected by total sampling technique. Data collection was carried out by interviewing food intake using form food recall, nutritional status of patients by measuring height and weight, and randomized blood glucose level was carried out from patients medical records. Bivariate analysis was using rank spearman correlative test. The results of the analysis correlation wasn’t correlation between vitamin C intake, zinc intake, and nutritional status with blood glucose levels in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients in Rumah Sakit Umum Kaliwates, Jember Regency.
