ABSTRAK


Energi matahari berpotensi dalam membangkitkan listrik. Pemanfaatan energi matahari sebagai sumber energi untuk penerangan jalan umum yang dapat mengurangi pemakaian listrik konvensional (PLN). Penerangan jalan umum tenaga surya mampu memenuhi sistem penerangan jalan di Polije. Perancangan mengunakan lampu jenis Hpl 30 volt DC dan panel surya sebagai pembangkit sebesar 50 Wp serta baterai jenis lead acid 12 volt. Penerangan jalan umum tenaga surya mampu menyala hingga 8 jam/hari. Analisa tekno ekonomi penerangan jalan umum tenaga surya mengunakan 3 metode yaitu metode NPV, metode BCR dan metode BEP. Dari hasil analisa tersebut menyatakan bahwa penerangan jalan umum layak secara teknik dan ekonomi.

ABSTRACT


Solar energy has the potential to generate electricity. The use of solar energy as an energy source for public street lighting that can reduce conventional electricity usage (PLN). Public street lighting solar power can meet the lighting system in Polije. The design uses 30 volt DC HPL type lamp and solar panel as a generator of 50 Wp and uses a 12 volt lead acid type battery. Public street lighting solar power can burn up to 8 hours/day. Techno economic analysis of solar street lighting using 3 methods: NPV method, BCR method, and BEP method. From the results of the analysis stated that public street lighting is tecnically and economically feasible.
