ABSTRACT
The research concerns to the Potential of Sunflower Refugia Plants (Helianthus Annuus L.) to utile Insects on Soybean Plants. Soybeans are a type of legume crop. Within a few years, the soybean production has been in decreasing production due to the pest attack. Refugia is the one of the ways that is used for the management of biodiversity loss. Refugia is an area that overgrown with several types of plants that can provide shelter and a source for natural enemies such as predators and parasitoids in soybean plants. Therefore it is necessary to conduct research to find out the various types of predators that are associated with flowering plants. This research was conducted for 5 months, started from October 2017 to March 2018, located in the Antirogo Village, Sumbersari District, Jember Regency. The results of the research data were analyzed statistically using the T test. The diversity of soybean species and natural enemy species were analyzed using the Shannon-Winner diversity index. From the results of the discussion, it is known that refugia sunflower plants on soybean treatment and control have no effect to the number of predatory pest populations, parasitoid, and pollinators. The sunflower refugia plant has a shannon winner diversity index of pests, predators, parasitoid, which is 0.462 and in the plot without refugia 0.471 shows that it is not significantly different and there is a low level of diversity. The refugia sunflower plant has a simpson dominance index that is refugia treatment 0.138 and without the treatment 0.144. It isnot significantly different shows no species domination. The highest yield of refugia's treatment is 11.54 grams compared to refugia 8.01 grams.
