SUMMARY
Internship Program becomes something urgently that needed by Polytechnic students when they want to enter the industrial business as a professional worker. This activity aims for students who graduated from this college have the ability to face the challenges that exist in the world of industry. The writerchoose Fairfield by Marriott hotel as the institution to conduct the Internship Program, because Fairfield by Marriott Surabaya is a new hotel in Indonesia under the auspices of JW Marriott, one of the popular hotel in the world. It is located in city centre of Surabaya which the guests whose stayed mostly from foreigners and local busnessmen. So,the writercouldapplied her knowledge and sill which she has got such as English for Hotel and Restaurant, English for Secretary, English for Correspondence, Public Speaking and general English sill (Speaking, Writing, and Listening). This internship program started from March 1st until May 31st 2018.
During the internship program the writer got an opportunity to handle jobs in Front Office Department especially in Telephone Operator position. The activities that were did during internship program were picked up all the incoming all.Meanwhile, the writer should be able to give information properly about hotel such as the hotel address, the price and the type of rooms. Besides, the writer also found some problems during being an telephone operator but its could be handled by the writer and as far as doing this activity the writer did not have a serious problem.From that position, the writer learned and got a lot of experiences in Front Office Department and also the real work place in the hotel.
