ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of cage density in feed consumption, body weight gain and feed conversion. The parameters of this research is feed consumption, body weight gain and feed conversion. This research used a Completely Randomized Design method with 4 treatments and 5 replications consisting of P1 6 ducks density, P2 8 ducks density , P3 10 ducks density, P4 12 ducks density. The treatment is 42 days using hybrid ducks. The feed used is BR1 commercial feed and drinking water is given ad libitum. The results of the study shows a significant difference (P <0.05) in feed consumption and feed conversion, in body weight gain showed a very significant difference (P <0.01). Treatment with 8 ducks density resulted in the best feed consumption, body weight gain, and feed conversion.

Keywords: Feed consumption, body weight gain, feed conversion, hybrid ducks, cage density.</note>
