Indonesia has many natural resources on land and under the sea. That is why Indonesia is called zamrud khatulistiwa, it is because natural resources and amazing tourism object that spread in all parts of Indonesia. East Java is one of the provinces in Indonesia that has been already known as tourism destination.
One city in East Java which has many famous tourism objects is Lumajang. This city has the highest mountain in Java Island that is Semeru Mountain. Lumajang also famous of “Mandara Giri Semeru Agung Temple”. Particulary this temple, it is located in Senduro Subdistrict and becomes the oldest temple in Java Island.
Lumajang also has some beautiful beaches as tourism destinations. They are Bambang Beach, Dampar Beach, Watu Pecak Beach, Wotgalih Beach and Maleman Beach. These beaches save thousands of excoticism, one of them is the wave is so great to make the tourist feels enjoy it to visit there.
Based on the interview to the one of staffs of The Tourism and Culture Department of Lumajang, she said that there was no booklet as promotional media to promote the beaches tourism object. The Tourism and Culture Department of Lumajang only has brochure, leaflet, magazine, bag, t-shirt and monopoly game to promote amazing of tourism objects. One of the staffs in Information Center Division said that the witer could create booklet as promotional media for the beaches tourism object to increase the visitor. So that, the writer made a tourism booklet for the beaches destination because there was no existed media that specific the beaches tourism object. The writer made a tourism booklet, and hopefully the visitor can explore the beauty beaches destination. The booklet gives more detail information about the beaches, so that the reader feels interest when they read the information.
The writer made booklet in bilingual version, Indonesian Language and English. The purpose of this product is to give detail information about some beaches in Lumajang (Bambang Beach, Dampar Beach, Watu Pecak Beach, Wotgalih Beach and Maleman Beach), like location, facilities, accesses, attraction, culinaries, special event, entrance ticket prices and the activities that can do in the beach. The size of booklet was 18x15 cm with the pages was 18 pages and used A3 paper.
The writer used the method from Ardhi (2013) about procedure of making booklet. They are determining purpose of promotion, determining media of promotion, budgeting, determining target audience, making a concept and producing.
