Sallsabiila Cahya Pratiwi Seed Production Engineering Study Program Agriculture Production Department ABSTRACT Research on Paclobutrazol Application and Plant Age on the Production and Quality of Corn Seeds (Zea mays) Bisma Varieties to determine the application of paclobutrazol and plant age to production and quality of corn seeds (Zea mays) bisma varieties . This research was carried out in August - November 2017 in Antirogo Village, Jember Regency and Seed Production Engineering Laboratory. The experimental design used was Randomized Complicated Block Design consist of 2 factors and 3 replications. The first factor was the application of paclobutrazol (K) consisting of five levels, namely K0= 0 ppm (Control), K1= 250 ppm, K2 = 500 ppm, K3 = 750 ppm and K4 : 1000 ppm. The second factor is the age of the plant (U) which consists of two levels, namely U1= 30 days and U2 : 37 days. The results of the treatment application of paclobutrazol had a significant effect on 1000 grain weight with a concentration of 500 ppm, the plant age of 30 days had a very significant effect on stem diameter and ear diameter, while the application of paclobutrazol had a very significant effect on plant height with a concentration of 1000 ppm, stem diameter with a concentration of 1000 ppm , 50% of the hair came out on the cob with a concentration of 250 ppm and there was an interaction effect between the age of the plant and the concentration on the dimeter of the stem and weight of 1000 grains.
