Internship Program is one of Programs at the Politeknik Negeri Jember that is conducted before students graduate from Politeknik Negeri Jember. It’s implemented in the beginning of VI semester with period of internship in 640 hours or within 92 working days and it equals 3 months for service of internship. This is very important for college students to apply their knowledge that is gotten during studied at Politeknik Negeri Jember. So, students could learn the situation and the characteristic of work place, behavior, and also they can improve their interpersonal skills and have new knowledge and experience in work place. For this program, I chose Royal Hotel N’ Lounge Jember as place to conduct this Internship Program. The internship program had been conducted for three months in Royal Hotel N’ Lounge Jember. It was started from 1st March 2018 up to 31st May 2018. In conducting this program, I was given opportunity to learn many things in Royal Hotel N’ Lounge Jember in Front Office (FO) especially as a receptionist from first working day up to last working day without any exchange position.The activities during Internship Program were handling expected arrival of guest and expected departure of guest, making reservation, dealing with complaint, being cashier and telephone operator. Having finished this program, I got so many new knowledges and experiences about hospitality besides I applied my English skill, especially English for Hotel and Restaurant. I hope that my Internship Program can give some benefits for Royal Hotel N’ Lounge Jember.
