ABSTRACT

Biomass energy is an organic material produced through photosynthesis in the form of product or residual products, biomass as an alternative energy can be used as a source of energy to replace fuel oil for electricity generation. The biomass power plant in the PG Pesantren Baru uses fuel from the bagasse with a main component of the power plant, namely pumps, deaerators, boilers, turbines as well as additional components such as evaporators and condensate tanks. This study aims to analyze how the thermal rankine cycle analysis of each component of a power plant uses the calculation of enthalpy seen from the input pressure and output of each component along with the calculation of mass flow rate. The total work rate of the pump is 868.28 kJ/hour, the total heat requirement in the deaerator is actually 0.01518 kJ / hour, the total heat demand and the efficiency of the boiler is actually 79235358 kJ/hour and 17.15 %, the total power in the turbine and efficiency the actual turbine is 1595 kJ/jam and 61.21 %. The total thermal efficiency of the plant is 91.75 %.
