ABSTRACT
The development of technology is currently developing so much in Indonesia such as motorized vehicles. At present exhaust emissions from combustion of motorized vehicle engines are a factor causing air pollution, because exhaust emissions contain many chemical compounds that are harmful to humans. Then electromagnets with voltage variations are alternative tools to reduce motor vehicle exhaust emissions. The purpose of making this tool is to know the percentage of HC, CO, CO2, O2, due to voltage variations in the electromagnet and to know the difference in emission levels between the gasoline motor that uses an electromagnet with a gasoline motor without using an electromagnet. The results of this study indicate that the use of electromagnets with 15volt had a good impact on HC at 2000 rpm which was 56.34 ppm with a decrease of 38.98% from 92.34 ppm, using 15volt also had a good impact on CO at 2000 rpm which was 0.19% vol has decreased 67.24% from 0.58 vol%, using 12volt has a good impact on CO2 at 2000 rpm which is 10.04 vol% has a 23.3% increase from 7.7 vol%, and the use of 12volt electromagnets also has an impact good at O2 at rpm 4000 ie 7.39 vol% decreased 26.83% from 10.1 vol%.
