ABSTARCT



Iron deficiency anemia in women of reproductive age is a decrease in work productivity, especially for female workers. Iron defeciencymake fatigue and lethargy so that work capacity decreases and ultimately work productivity decreases. Date palm are rich in iron wich can increase hemoglobin levels.Dates palmalso contain protein, fiber, glucose, vitamins, biotin, niacin, and folic acid. The aim of this study was to detemine the effect of date palm juice on hemoglobin levels in female workers at UD Hartono Putra Balung regency of Jember . This study is a Quasi Experiment without control group design. Data analysis for normality test using Shapiro Wilk then using paired t test. Total subject of this study were 17 people. All subject were given 90 ml of date palm juice for 14 days, and in one day was given once date palm juice during break time. The result of this study were after subject consumed date palm juice for 14 days, the subject hemoglobin level was increased even though it had not reached the normal limit. The conclusion of this study, there is a sgnificant effect of hemoglobin levels before and after given date palm juice.
