ABSTRACT
Anemia is also known as iron-poor blood disorder that occurs when your blood lacks enough red blood cells (erythrocytes) until lower than normal. Anemia can be caused by a deficiency of nutritional intake from food. One alternative effort that can increase Hemoglobin levels is consuming drinks that are rich in iron or Fe, such as Zalacca juice. Iron is a microelement that is essential for the body. This substance is mainly needed in hemopobesis (blood formation) especially in the synthesis of hemoglobin (Hb). This study was anemia to determine hemoglobin level of anemia rats which were distributed with salak juice. This research used experimental (True Experimental) with Pretest-Posttest Control Group design. The number of samples was 24 male white wistar rats strain. Sampling was randomly divided into 3 groups. The negative control groups (Standart diet + Without Anemia) anemia and given a standard diet, the positive control groups (Stadart Diet + Given 25 mg / day Sodium Nitrite (NaNo2) for 18 days and the treatment group (Standart Diet + 25 mg of sodium nitrite / day + Zalacca juice as much as 10.75 ml / day for 14 days) The results showed that hemoglobin levels before intervention in negative control group of 16,000 g / dL, positive control groups 13,929 g / dL, treatment groups 14,129 g / dL. The mean of hemoglobin level after intervention in the negative control groups of 16,300 g / dL, positive control of 14,577 g / dL, the treatment group of 16,243 g / dL. The conclusion of this study is there are significant differences between the number of hemoglobin levels in the intervention group rats and non intervention group rats.
