ABSTRACT
The cacao seed is recalcitrant seeds which has high moisture content with a short life. The things that needed to requirement to storage is packaging types, beside that to compare packaging capabilities, in addition to comparing packaging capabilities, different periods storage. The research used a Complete Randomized Design 2 factorial and repeated 3 times. First factos is type of packaging are perforated polypropilane plastic, perforated polyethilane plastic and paper straw. The second factor are a storage period of 1 week, storage period of 2 week, storage period of 3 week, storage period of 4 week. Data were analyzed by the Anova and tested with the DMRT test with error rate of 5 %. The result of interaction of packaging type and storage period showed that the packaging type perforated polyethilane pastic and storage period of 4 weeks is very real different to seed quality and cocoa seedling growth. The best result of interaction two factors showed if plant height (29,6 cm), stem diameter (0,42 cm) and total of leaves (15 leaves).
