ABSTRACT
This research aims to determine the addition of amino acids and various concentration of sucrose to increase the growth of potatoes planlet. The
experiment was conducted at Biosain Laboratory of State Polytechnic of Jember from August 2017 to January 2018, using Factorial Completely Randomized
Design (CRD) with two factors and four replications. The first factor was types of Amino Acids (A) that was consisted of six levels, A1 = casein hydrolisate 100 ppm,
A2 = casein hydrolisate 200 ppm, A3 = glutamine 100 ppm, A4 = glutamine 200 ppm, A5 = glycine 100 ppm, A6 = glycine 200 ppm. The second factor was
concentration of sucrose (S) that was consisted of three levels, S1 = 20 g/L, S2 = 30 g/L, S3 = 40 g/L. The result showed that amino acid and consentration of
sucrose have significant effect on the growth of potatoes planlet. The result indicated that glutamine 100 ppm (A3) was able to support the best of planlet
height. The best consentration of sucrose was 30 g/L (S2), it produces high number of internode, the weight and height of planlets. The best interaction was
glutamine 100 ppm and sucrose 30 g/L (A3S2) it produces an optimal weight and height of planlets.
