ABSTRACT
The purpose of the research to known the effect that will occur on the seed after fumigation using Sulfuryl flouride and a good storage time is used in water
spinach seeds, so that it is known to influence the viability of water spinach seeds and prevent the decline of high seed viability. This research was conducted from
January to March 2018 at PT East West Seed Indonesia Jl. Basuki Rachmat street SMP 8, No. 19, Muktisari, Tegal Besar, Jember. The method used was Factorial
Completely Randomized Design (RAL) with 2 factors, namely fumigation  treatment (F) factor, namely F0 = without fumigation and F1 = with fumigation,
the second factor was seed storage time after application Sulfuryl fluoride fumigant (W) with 3 levels, W1 = 0 days, W2 = 30 days and W3 = 60 days. There
are 6 combination treatment units and each treatment combination unit is repeated 4 times. The results showed Sulfuryl fluoride fumigation treatment
showed the best parameter observations on water content (F0) with a mean of 9.9%, germination power (F0) with a mean of 95% and growth speed (F0) with a
mean of 23.9% / etmal. Whereas for seed storage treatment showed the best results in parameters of moisture content (W1) with a mean of 10.0%,
germination power (W1) with a mean of 95.1% and growth simultaneity (W1) with a mean of 93.1%. The interaction of Sulfuryl fluoride fumigation treatment
and shelf life showed the best parameters namely water content (F0W1) with a value of 10.2%, growth speed (F0W0) with a value of 24.9% / etmal.
