This report of the final project entitles“Making a Promotional Video of Batik Gedog Tuban. The project was made becausethe popularity of batik gedog Tuban is still low compared with batik products from those of other regions. Department of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Sportsof Tuban needed effective medium of promotion,especially video. They also had difficulties in making the video. It is expected that by using promotional video, the message or information about batik Gedog can be delivered well and understood quickly.
In conducting this final project, the writer needed supporting data to complete this final project. First, the writer did observation the raw material, tools, and the process of makig batik gedog including the activity of the artisans. Second, the writer did interview to the head of department and the head of artisans. Third, the writer did documentation to check the media promotio again detailedly, asked the head of department and search in internet about history. Fourth, the writer did audiovisual material to take some pictures, location and the product result.
The video was presented in three parts; opening, body and closing. In opening the writer showed the symbol of Tuban, greeting from the speaker, location, brief explanation about batik gedog and history of batik gedog. In the body, the writer showed the making process of batik gedog and product result including suggestion from the artisans of batik gedog itself. In closing, the writer showed the salutation from the writer to the parties concerned.
