ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh lama pemberian pakan starter dan finisher terhadap profitabilitas ayam kampung super dan mengetahui umur yang tepat dilakukan pergantian pakan starter dan finisher. Pakan periode starter memiliki kandungan PK: 21% dan EM: 3000 kcal/kg, sedangkan pakan periode finisher memiliki kandungan PK: 18% dan EM: 2900 kcal/kg. 60-70% biaya produksi adalah biaya pakan. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan lima perlakuan yang terdiri dari P1 (Minggu I-III pakan starter: Minggu IV pakan finisher), P2 (Minggu I-IV pakan starter: Minggu V pakan finisher), P3 (Minggu I-V pakan starter: Minggu VI pakan finisher), P4 (Minggu I-VI pakan starter: Minggu VII pakan finisher), P5 (Minggu I-VIII pakan starter) dan empat kali ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lama pemberian pakan starter dan finisher tidak berpengaruh signifikan (P>0,05) terhadap pendapatan, income over feed cost (IOFC) dan profitabilitas, berpengaruh sangat signifikan (P<0,01) terhadap biaya pakan, biaya produksi dan penerimaan. Pemberian pakan periode starter ke pakan periode finisher terbaik mulai pada umur 4 minggu, pergantian pakan pada umur 4 minggu menghasilkan biaya pakan, biaya produksi dan penerimaan yang berbeda, akan tetapi mampu menghasilkan pendapatan, IOFC dan profitabilitas yang sama.

The Analysis of Cross Breed Native Chicken Profitability by Length of Feeding Starter and Finisher

ABSTRACT
The purposes of this study was to determine the effect lenght of feeding starter and finisher on the profitability of cross breed native chicken and to know the right age in changing the starter and finisher feeding. The starter feed had 21% of PK and 3000 kcal / kg of EM, while the finisher feed had 18% of PK and 2900 kcal / kg of EM. 60-70% of production costs were feed costs. The method used in this research was Completely Randomized Design (CRD) by five treatments consisting of P1 (Week I-III of starter feed: Week IV of finisher feed), P2 (Week I-IV of starter feed: Week V of finisher feed), P3 (Week IV of starter feed: Week VI of finisher feed), P4 (Week I-VI of starter feed: Week VII of finisher feed), P5 (Week I-VIII sof tarter feed) and four replications. The results showed that the lenght of feeding starter and finisher had no significant effect (P> 0.05) on income, Income Over Feed Cost (IOFC) and profitability, had a very significant effect (P <0.01) on feed costs, production costs and reception. The best of lenght feeding starter and finisher was at 4th weeks, where the feed changes at 4th weeks resulted feed costs, different production and revenue costs, but it could produce almost the same income value, IOFC and profitability.
