Pembuatan Briket Dari Serbuk Kayu Sengon Dengan Campuran Kulit Kacang Tanah (Briquettes Making from Powder of Sawdust Sengon with Mixed of Peanut Skin Sheels) Yuli Hananto, S.TP., M.Si as chief consueler and Dr. Bayu Rudiyanto, ST., M.Si. as member counselor Ikayatus Sholehah Study Program of Renewable Energy Engineering Engineering Department ABSTRACT Biomass is relatively organic material of plants or biological origin, production of aquaculural industry waste such as plantation, agricultural, forestry, and fisheries. Biomass which can be used as raw material for briquettes is agricultural waste such as powder of sawdust sengon. It has a large enough potential to be used as raw material for briquettes. However, briquettes from powder of sawdust sengon has low quality, it necessary to add other raw material such as peanut shells to improve the quality of briquettes. The purpose of this research was to increase the heating value of briquettes and it determines the greatest composition from powder of sawdust sengon with addition of peanuts shells. The comparison between composition powder of sawdust sengon and peanut shell are 90%: 10%, 80%: 20%, 70%: 30%, 60%: 40%, 50%: 50%. The process of making briquettes with pyrolysis of raw materials, refining raw materials, and printing. Each number of adhesives used is 10% of the weight of the raw material. The results showed that the addition of peanut shells affected the quality of briquettes. The greatest composition in the composition of raw materials sengon 50% wood powder : 50% peanut shell and its characteristics are close to the SNI value where the treatment of this composition is 4.9% moisture content, density 0.92 g / cm3, ash content 7, 65%, compressive test 9.67 kg / cm2, and calorific value 6738.507cal / gr.
