ABSTRACT
Plate waste is food that is not eaten by the patient. Some factors influence the Plate waste is the distribution punctuality and the food taste. This research is aimed to know the connection between the distribution punctuality and the food taste with Plate waste at class 3 living room and surgery RSD dr. Soebandi Jember. This reasearch can be included into obsevational analytic with cross sectional design. This reseach is done on July,2018. 51 people are used as the reasearch object. Purposive sampling technic is used to take the research subject. Data of the food distribution punctuality is gotten from the food distdibution at the
nutrition installation to the patient. Data of the food taste is gotten from the interview by using questionnaire about food taste. Plate waste is measure by comstock visual method point 7. Spearman Correlation test is used in the analysis method. Insummary,this research shows that no connection between the distribution punctuality with the plate waste (p=0,218) and there is a connection between the food taste and the plate waste (p=0,001).
