ABSTRACT


Factors affect nutritional status of that is consisting of intrinsic factor (genetics and hormone) and the extrinsic (nutritional intake , with infectious diseases and income levels). Daily intake of food needed by fives have been divided into makronutrien and micronutrient. Vitamin a deficiency , iron and zinc is a problem deficiency mikronutrien often happens in Indonesia. Children able to meet a need nutrient of water mother milk and food mentors breastfeeding (MP-ASI). Granting MP-ASI very pertaining to the knowledge mommy about mp-asi itself. This study attempts to the knowledge of MP-ASI, the level of consumption of nutrients micro (vitamin a, iron and zinc) and the income in nutritional status of toddler in urban sumbersari District sumbersari Subdistrict Jember. The research is the kind of research the survey analytic with the design cross sectional. Knowledge of MP-ASI data obtained by the questionnaire, micro nutrient intake data obtained by form food recall 1 x 24 hours, level of income data obtained by data form the characteristics and nutritional status of data obtained with the measurement of height and weight .Technique of the receipt of the subjects in the study is done by using purposive the sampling method of to the total number of children the subject of 45 .Data analysis technique employing correlation rank the spearman. The result showed there is a correlation between knowledge of MP-ASI (p = 0,006), intake of iron (p = 0,008), income levels (p = 0,000) with nutritional status of children. There was no correlation between vitamin A (p = 0,418), intake zinc (p = 0,188) with nutritional status of children.
