ABSTRACT
Seed viability is the ability of life force or seed viability which includes germination and the power to grow seeds. To maintain the maximum seed viability, it is necessary to maintain good quality when cultivating in the field or after post-harvest such as seed storage, warehouse pest control. This study aimed to find out the effect that will occur on the seed after fumigation using Sulfurfluoride and a good storage temperature used in long bean seeds, this research was carried out in May until June 2018 at PT East West Seed Indonesia Jl. BasukiRachmat Gg SMP 8, No. 19, Muktisari, TegalBesar, Jember. The method used was Factorial Completely Randomized Design (RAL) with 2 factors, namely fumigation treatment factor (F), namely F0 = without fumigation and F1 = with fumigation, the second factor was seed storage temperature, namely S1 storage temperature of 20 0C and S2 storage temperature of 30 0C. The results showed that the highest water content at room temperature storage temperature treatment. Average water content is 12.24% while the storage temperature is 20 0C the average water content is 8.90%. For fumigation treatment the significant effect on seed growth speed obtained the highest Kct data in treatment without fumigation with an average Kct value of 22.99%. the interaction between fumigation treatment factors and storage temperature of long bean seeds does not have a real influence on all observation parameters.

	Seed viability is the ability of seed’s life forceto maintain.To maintain the maximum seed viability,it is necessary to maintain good quality of seeds. The ways are by adjusting the temperature of storage and warehouse pest control.Therefore, this study aims to give treatments by using fumigation and adjusting the temperature of storage. This research was conducted in May 2018 at PT East West Seed Jl. Basuki Rachmat Gg SMP 8, No. 19, Muktisari, Tegal Besar, Jember. The method that was used Factorial Completely Randomized Design (RAL) with 2 factors, Fumigation Factor (F), F0 = without fumigation and F1 = used fumigation. The second factor was seed storage temperature, S1 storage temperature of 20 0C and S2 storage temperature of 30 0C. There 4 treatments combination unit with 5 replications. So that, there are 20 experimental units were obtained. The result showed, there is no effect of fumigation to viability. But, the temperature of storage gave effect to the viability. It showed that, 200C of viability was higher. Adjusting the temperature of storage has significant effect to moisture content of long bean, also the highest moisture content was found here. The Average moisture content is 12.24% while the storage temperature is 20 0C the average of moisture content is 8.90%. Fumigation treatment has a significant effect on the rate of seed growth. For treatment without fumigation, the highest growth speed is showed an average Kct value of 22.99%.The interaction between fumigation factors and storage temperature does not affect to all observation parameters
