ABSTRACT
The population growth demands the increasemen of annual rice production. The availability of qualified seeds for farmers must be increased through breeding technology, testing the genotype yield power is needed to get new superior varieties.The study was conducted for 6 months, from August 2017 to January 2018, located in the area of Kreongan Village, Patrang District, Jember Regency with an average temperature of 25.6°C, and Seed Technology Laboratory, Jember Polytechnic, Mastrip Street PO BOX 164. This research method used non factorial randomized block design (RAK) repeated 4 times with 6 levels, namely 4 RG03 (G1), RG04 (G2), RG06 (G3), RG09 (G4) genotypes and 2 comparison varieties; Inpari 31 (G5) and WayApo Buru (G6). The results of this research showed that rice genotypes RG03 (G1), RG04 (G2), RG06 (G3) and RG09 (G4) were superior to the two comparison varieties; Inpari 31 (G5) and Way Apo Buru (G6) in observing parameters of vegetative phase plant height, generative phase plant height, panicle length, the amount of grain per panicle, and yield potential per hectare. Potential yield per hectare Genotype RG4 (G2) reaches 14.50 tons / ha and gives very different results on comparison varieties Way Apo Buru (G6) by reaching 9.56 tons / ha and not significantly different from genotypes RG03 (G1), RG06 (G3), RG09 (G4), comparison variety Inpari 31 (G5).
