ABSTRACT
Workload is the number of activities that must be completed by an organizational unit or holder within a period of time. Based on preliminary survey at Level III Hospital Baladhika Husada Jember there are problems related to workload that is the job description can not be done maximally because the officer concurrently work. Medical records of working hours begin at 08.00 – 21.00 pm. The purpose of this reseach is to analyze the cause of high workload on medical recorders factors by caunting the high number of workload with WLA (workload analysis) method, and RCA (root cause analysis) method for analysing factors of workload. The kind of research used is qualitative with using data collection method observation, interviews and brainstorming. The result of reckoning from 8 officer, there are 4 officer who had the highest workload officers coding 136,7 % work with a load , indexing 128,8 % officers , officers pelaoran 139,6 % and officers simrs 1 at the workloads of 121,8 %. The most probably have led to higher the workloads of officers coding is job description are not well done , officers indexing the physical work environment to inadequate , the officers reporting physical work environment to inadequate and supports the activity of work , and the official SIMRS 1 namely physical work environment is felt to be less comfortable because the shelves of medical record are full due to files lying on the floor and the narrow work place. The solution to solve the problem is by evaluating and reshaping the job description of each officer, expanding and rearranging the space unit of the medical record work and sorting out files that are not active regularly.
