Effectiveness of Paclobutrazol and Setting the Spacing of Planting on the Production and Quality of Peanut Seeds (Aracis hypogeae L.). Supervised by Ir. Titien Suhermiatin, MP. Angga Prasetyo Setyawan Study Program of Seed Production Engineering Department of Agricultural Production ABSTRACT Research on the Effectiveness of Paclobutrazol and Setting the spacing of planting on the Production and Quality of Peanut Seeds (Aracis Hypogeae L.) To determine the effect of paclobutrazol and spacing on increasing peanut seed production Aracis hypogea L.), one way to increase peanut seed production using paclobutrazol and spacing. The study was conducted in September - December 2017 in Rowo Hamlet, Mrwan Village, Mayang Jember, East Java. Using factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) consisting of two treatment factors, including: The first factor was the treatment of Paclobutrazol which consisted of 3 levels, namely K0 = Control, K1 = 150 ppm, K2 = 200ppm, and K3 = 250 ppm. The second factor is the planting distance which consists of 3 levels, namely J1 = 40 cm x 25 cm, J2 = 40 cm x 30 cm, and J3 = 40 cm x 35 cm. The treatment of paclobutrazol gave a very significant effect (**) on plant height with a concentration of 250 ppm (K3) in plants aged 35 days old can reduce growth by 9,28 cm, plant height 50 days at 10,67 cm, plant height 60 days at 12,39 cm, while the concentration of 200 ppm (K2) paclobutrazol on pod wet weight yielded 62,22 gr, pod dry weight was 30,14 gr, dry seed weight was 25,26 gr, 1000 grain weight was 451,81 gr, seed production per hectare is 4,05 ton number of pods per plant is 53,31 Treatment of spacing of 40cm x 25cm (J1) has a very significant effect (**) on seed production per hectare of 12.39 kg.
