Watermelon plant which is from Africa, has spread throughout the world, both subtropical and tropical regions. Superior seed is one of factors of successful plant cultivation and farming. Hybrid seeds are seeds derived from a cross between two genetically different elders. Based on the pattern of the plant growth, the growth of the tip of the stem is equipped with young leaves, if they are experiencing obstacles (topping), then the growth of shoots will be towards the side known as "lateral shoots". The right toping and pollination time is crucial to get good quality and quantity fruit. The study was to determine the effect of toping, pollination time and their interaction on the production of watermelon seeds (Citrullus vulgaris Schard). The study was conducted in Seputih Village, Mayang Subdistrict, with altitude ± 200 m above sea level and daily average temperature about 19°C- 32°C. The study was conducted from July 2018 to October 2018. The Research Method applied was Factorial Randomized Group Design. The first factor is Toping (T) consisting of two levels, namely; T0 = No Topping, T1 = Toping. The second factor is Pollination Time (W), which consist of 3 levels, namely; W1 = pollination at 06.00-07.00 WIB (West Indonesia Time), W2 = pollination at 08.00-9.00 WIB, W3 = Pollination at 10:00 to 11 WIB. The results showed no significant on weighing parameter of 1000 grains, germination and simultaneous growth. However, it affected significantly on the number of seeds and the growth speed. The pollination time (w) contributes no significant effect on the parameters of the number of seedlings, but it contributes a significant effect on the germination power and growth rate and has a very significant effect on the weighing parameters of 1000 grains and the simultaneous growth. Toping and pollination time interactions have no significant effect on the number of seedlings, weighing parameter of 1000 grains, germination, and simultaneous growth. But it has a significant effect on the speed of growth.
