SUMMARY
Making a Tutorial Video “How to Make Up A Hotel Room” for Student of Hotel Accomodation Study Program at Smkn 03 Jember, Yunika Arin Ferdani, F31140007, Year 2018, 21 Pages, Language, Communication and Tourism Department, Politeknik Negeri Jember, Cholimatus Zuhro, S.Pd., M.Li. (First Supervisor) and Alfi Hidayatu Miqawati, S.Pd., M.Pd. (Second Supervisor).
This time the world of hospitality is growing very rapidly. It is because tourism in Indonesia is increasing as the hotel requires lot of mapower in the field. In Jember, only one school that provides hospitality majors, SMKN 03 Jember. A variety of learning media is needed to be used to support student to be familiar with what to learn. SMKN 03 Jember still used book only and did not use any video tutorial for learning media. Therefore, the writer made a tutorial video especially of housekeeping services for SMKN 03 Jember students with the purpose to facilitate their learning.
Tutorial video is a series of picture served by teacher that contain message of learnings to help the understanding of the learning material as a guidance or additional teaching materials to small group of students. some of the benefits of tutorial video are the video is combined with animation and speed settings to demonstrate the change from time to time, video capability to visualize the material is particularly effective to help you to deliver material dynamic, the advancement of technology video has also allowed video presentation format are manifold, ranging from tapes, CD and DVD and last benefits is video can be distributed via broadcast television.
In this final project, the writer made a tutorial video “How to Make Up a Hotel Room” for students of hotel accomodation study program at SMKN 03 Jember in english version. The tutorial video consisted of three parts; opening, content, and closing The opening part was about the meaning of housekeeping department and room attendant. The content part was about step of making up a hotel room. In the closing part, the writer explained tips for being a room attendant.
During the process of doing this final project, the writer got knew experience and the writer could apply her skills. The result of this final project is epected to help SMKN 03 Jember during learning teaching and learning process.
