SUMMARY
Making a Promotional Video of Batik Situbondo, Yogie Prasetyo, Nim F31140797, Year 2018, 25 pages, English Study Program, Politeknik Negeri Jember, Siti Aisyiyah, S.Pd, M.Pd, (First Supervisor) and Yuslaili Ningsih, S.Pd, M.Pd, (Second Supervisor).
Batik is the cultural tradition of Indonesia, A craft that has high artistic value has become a cultural icon for Indonesia. Indonesia has been known for its Batik since the 4th or 5th century and it has been said that Batik techniques and have a lot of design base on the island and city. Every city has different characteristics of design that represent the city, one of them is Situbondo. Situbondo is a small cities in east java also has different design of batik, known as Batik ‘lenthe’. The writer interest to make a promotional media for batik Situbondo because in the first time the writer did not knew that Situbondo have own characteristic of batik it was make the writer interest to promote batik Situbondo through promotional media especially audio visual media or video. Tourism Department of situbondo already promoted Batik Situbondo in some form of promotional media. That is booklet, on those form of promotional media batik situbondo only get one page and only explain the characteristic of batik situbondo itself so it does not explain batik situbondo completely and also that graphic promotional media was costly and cannot promote batik Situbondo in complete content. The writer decided to made promotional video of batik Situbondo because video easy to be spread by using an internet and also provide complete information batik situbondo in interesting ways.
Promotional Video that has many beneficial rather than other promotion media. In this video the writer divided into 3 part those were Opening, Content and Closing. In Opening the writer describes The general information of Situbondo city, in the content the writer describes the history of batik situbondo, the motif of batik situbondo, and the process of making batik Situbondo. In doing this final project, the writer has done the data collecting method those were interview, observation, documentation, and audio visual. In interview, the writer interviewed the chief of batik situbondo association and also as the owner of batik rengganis situbondo. in observation, the writer observed the production places of batik rengganis situbondo and batik event in situbondo town square. In documentation the writer got information about batik situbondo from brochures of batik rengganis situbondo. And the last for audio visual the writer took a video and pictures of batik event and production places in order to complete data and

also as addition data for the video. Besides, the writer made promotional video of batik situbondo based on J Littlefield (2015), those were Pre production( visualization, writing the script, creating story board, creating shot list, choosing the equipment, and preparing for the shot) production(shooting) post production(logging, editing, draft review, revise, final review, and distribution)
Making a promotional video of batik Situbondo were takes so much time, patience, efforts, struggles and total dedications. In process of content making, the writer had to apply English skills such as writing and speaking in order to produce good narration in the video. Afterwards, to make a good video of promotional video, the writer need to remind and learn more about using DSLR camera and edited the video in editor application so the video could be a good quality video. Hopefully, this video may give much beneficial for Batik craftsmen especially batik situbondo craftsmen to sell and promote batik situbondo more to the world.
