ABSTRACT
Diarrhea is a major problem occurs because of the gastrointestinal motility disorders resulting in water imbalance and bowel electrolytes. Diarrhea can be a risk of death through dehydration, therefore, it needs the intake of micro nutrients for the body's defense, especially toddlers such as Vitamin A, Zinc, and Polyunsaturated Fatty Acid (PUFA). The purpose of this research is to know the relationship between the intake level of Vitamin A, Zinc, and PUFA on the incidence of diarrhea under 6-24 months of age. The research design was analytic survey with cross sectional design. The population of toddler in the age of 6-24 months is 100. Data was collected by using a diarrhea questionnaire and 3x24 hours recall interview. Statistical analysis by using SPSS 16.0 for Windows with Chi Square and Gamma Test Correlation Test. Results showed that the intake level of vitamin A (p = 0,000), Zinc (p = 0.012), PUFA (0.007). The conclusion is the relationship between the intake level of vitamin A, zinc, PUFA on the incidence of diarrhea under 6-24 months of age.

ABSTRAK
Diare merupakan masalah utama yang terjadi karena gangguan motilitas gastrointestinal akibatnya terjadi ketidakseimbangan air dan elektrolit usus. Diare dapat berisiko kematian apabila mengalami dehidrasi, untuk itu perlu asupan zat gizi mikro untuk pertahanan tubuh khususnya balita seperti Vitamin A, Zinc, dan Polyunsaturated Fatty Acid (PUFA). Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu mengetahui hubungan tingkat asupan Vitamin A, Zinc, dan PUFA terhadap kejadian diare balita usia 6-24 bulan. Desain penelitian yaitu survey analitik dengan rancangan cross sectional. Populasi balita usia 6-24 bulan dengan jumlah sampel 100 balita. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner diare dan wawancara recall 3x 24 jam. Analisis statistik menggunakan SPSS 16.0 for Windows dengan uji Korelasi Chi Square.dan Gamma Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat asupan Vitamin A (p=0,000), Zinc (p=0,012), PUFA (0,007). Kesimpulan yaitu terdapat hubungan
antara tingkat asupan Vitamin A, Zinc, PUFA terhadap kejadian diare balita usia
6-24 bulan.
