SUMMARY
Translating a Book Entitled Quality Assurance for Animal Feed Analysis Laboratories Published by Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nation on Page 3 until 19, Aminatus Sholehah, F31150393, 2018, 73 Pages, Language, Communication and Tourism Department, Politeknik Negeri Jember, Adriadi Novawan, S.Pd., M.Ed. (Supervisor).
There are so many language around us. There are Chinese, Arabic, Japanese, German, Korean, Spanish, English and etc. Nowaday English become the new communication tool that used by many people around the world. It makes English become the worldwide communication tool used by many field such as politics, economic, business, entertaiment, and also education. In the field of education there are so many learning materials published in Englsh. Unfortunately not all people have a good ability in understanding an English sources means that they can not access those information and used it effectively. Translation is the key to solve this problem and give an acces for them to understand the information easily.
Based on the demand from Mr. Suluh as the lecturer in Animal Husbandary Department, this final project aimed to translate a book entitled Quality Assurance for Animal Feed Analysis Laboratories Published by Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nation. This project finished by the teamwork consist of seven person, so that the writer only focus on Page 3 until 19. The result of this final project will help the students and lecturer in understanding this book easily and it will be useful for them especially in their teaching learning activity wether in a lecturing or practicum time.
To finish this project the writer used the translation process by Banjar (2009) that include analysis of the source text, transferring the analysed text into the target language, and revising the translation result. Considering that although this book included as the informative text but there are some part of this book that

used the expressive language to deliver the idea, so that the writer applied some procedure of translation by Nida (1964) which called technical procedure also some methods by Newmark (1998). There were word-for-word, literal, transposition, borrowing, adaptation, idiomatic, and communicative translation, also adding, subtracting, and eliminating.
This book contain the information about how to set up a good quality laboratory system, how to use the instruments in the laboratoty, also the analysis held in a laboratories. As the result, the writer could increase her new vocabularies and knowledge about Animal Husbandary field. Then finally the writer conclude that conducting a translation project really benefitial for herself and for the textbook user. The writer could applied her translation, computer, writing, and reading skill to finish the project. She believed that the knowledge that she got from translating this book will be useful for the writer’s future. Further the user could understand this book easily and applied it in some subjects that relevant with the topic discussed.
Moreover, by finishing this final project the writer have some suggestion for the students and lecturer of Animal Husbandary Department, for the students of English Study Program, also for the English Study Program itself. For the students and lecturer of Animal Husbandary Department, they can used the result of this project in their lecturing and practicum class. For the students of English Study Program, they can continue to translate the untranslated part to complete the Indonesian version of this book. Further the next student could analysed the result of my translation and my partner as their final project later. And for the English Study Program itself, please provide many references such as books, journals, or any articles for the student in a reading corner so that they could learn and get the sufficient knowledge to support them in finishing their Final Project.
