Making a promotional booklet to introduce batik made in Jember was the writer’s final project. This project was aimed to promote batik made in Jember. The writer made a promotional booklet of batik made in Jember as her final project because the writer saw the cultural potential that owned by Jember city, that was batik made in Jember and the writer think that it will be better if the writer made a promotional medium to promote batik made in Jember itself. The writer also could apply her skills and knowledge in English such as writing, reading and translation.
The promotional booklet was conducted in state Polytechnic of Jember from September 2016 until September 2017. In this booklet, the writer presented three parts, they are short description about batik Jember, short description and pictures of batik Jember and a simple map with the information address of batik home industries that located in jember.
The promotional medium can be used to promote batik Jember products. This project focused on making a booklet as a promotional media which can give specific information about batik made in Jember to the tourists. The booklet is promotional media which can attract many customers’ especially overseas customers. The writer making the booklet about some kinds of batik made in Jember; those are batik motives tembakau, kopi, kakao, tebu tanjung papuma and sekarjagad pandhalungan. All of kinds of batik motives that mentioned are the most popular batik products that made in Jember. Hopefully this booklet will be useful for batik home industries that located in Jember to promote their batik products
