Efektifitas Penyemprotan Paclobutrazol dan Pemangkasan Terhadap Produksi dan Mutu Benih Mentimun (Cucumis sativus L.), (Effectiveness Spraying Paclobutrazol and Pruning on The Production and Quality Seeds of Cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.)) Istita Program Studi Teknik Produksi Benih Jurusan Produksi Pertanian Study Program of Seed Production Technique Majoring of Agricultural Production ABSTRACT One of the methods to increase the production and seed quality of cucumber are using paclobutrazol and pruning. The research was conducted in August - november 2016 at the farm field and Seed Technology Laboratory in Polytechnic of Jember. The study was conducted using a Randomized Block Design (RBD) consisting 2 factors and 3 replications. The first factor was the concentration of paclobutrazol consisting 4 levels and the second factor was using of pruning 3 levels. The first factor was the concentration of paclobutrazol (K), which concentration of 0 ppm (K0), 100 ppm (K1), 150 ppm (K2) and 200 ppm (K3). The second factor was pruning (P), pruning by leaving the main stem (P0), pruning leaving a secondary branch (P1) and pruning leaving two secondary branches (P2). Further test using the F test at 5% levels. The results showed that the application of paclobutrazol and the treatment of pruning gave significant effect on the observetion parameters, plant length and speed of grows seed. There is no interaction between the application of paclobutrazol and pruning branches to the production and quality seed of cucumber.
