ABSTRACT
Curly Chili Plants (Capsicum annuum L.) is a herbaceous plant that has a high nutritional value, also has a high economic value. Chili production in East Java in 2011-2014 has increased but in 2015 experienced a considerable decrease. Efforts to increase the production and resistance of the curly chili is by the creation of new varieties that are resistant to pests and diseases. This research was conducted from April 13 to September 26, 2016. This research was conducted at Jl. Hayam Wuruk 1, Kaliwates, Jember, East Java. The altitude is 100-700 m above sea level. This research was conducted using non factorial randomized block design with 4 treatments and 4 replications. The treatment is as follows A = Curly Chilli Seed MG1012, B = Curly Chilli Seed KIYO Varieties, C = Curly Chilli Seed JINGGO Varieties, D = Curly Chilli Seed LADO Varieties. Observation data was analyzed using the F-test (ANOVA) followed by Tukey test. The results showed that the intensity of the aphid pest attack (Myzus persicae L) on the MG1012 strain had a very significant. The intensity of the attack is 4.45 and is included in the very resistant category.
