SUMMARY The Activities at Tourism Division of Banyuwangi Culture and Tourism Department. Dewi Masitoh. F31141289. 2017. 42 Pages. Language, Communication, and Tourism Deparment. Politeknik Negeri Jember, Cholimatus Zuhro S.Pd. M. Li (Internal Supervisor) and Suryani Agus Wahyuti, SH (External Supervisor). Banyuwangi Culture and Tourism Department has some main divisions; there are Secretariat Division (Kesekertariatan), Culture division (Bidang Kebudayaan), Tourism division (Bidang Pariwisata) and Marketing division (Bidang Pemasaran). I did my internship program in one of that divisions, it was Culture Division. Here, I can learn about the cultures in Banyuwangi and how to manage and keep the culture to be existed until now. The activity in this department starts on Monday up to Friday from 07.00 am until 03.30 pm. Culture division usually handles the management of cultures in Banyuwangi. One of the activities that often in this division organizes Banyuwangi Weekend Actualization in Blambangan and also some place around in Banyuwangi every week. Beside Organizing Banyuwangi Weekend Actualization, I also conducted some activities such as giving information to the guest, recapitulating and filing data hotel, restaurant and tourism object, handling letter and guiding the guest. The objectives of my internship program are to apply my skills and knowledge that I got from the English Study Program such as English for Tour and Travel, Pengelolahan Biro perjalanan, Public Relation, English for secretary and English for Correspondence. Second is to know and get experiences in managing the tourism and cultures in Banyuwangi. The last is to try in learning optimally and actively. During I conducted my internship program, I got some problem such as when I recapitulated restaurant, hotel, tourism object and Satuan Kerja Perngkat Daerah (SKPD) the manual data was not balance with the computer ix data, so that I asked other staff to help me to find out the data that have entire yet in the computer. Based on the explanation above, I concluded that Banyuwangi Culture and Tourism Department is an appropriate place to conduct the internship program. It is because I got a lot of experiences and knowledge. So, I can apply the skill that I have ever got from my collage. I suggest to students of English Study Program who want to conduct internship program in Banyuwangi Culture and Tourism Department should prepare all of the skill such as computer skill especially operating Microsoft Office, communication skill and also have good attitude.
