Politeknik Negeri Jember, Cholimtus Zuhro S.Pd. M. Li (Internal Supervisor) and Suryani Agus Wahyuti, SH (External Supervisor). Banyuwangi Culture and Tourism Department has some main divisions; there are Secretariat Division (Kesekertariatan), Culture division (Bidang Kebudayaan), Tourism division (Bidang Pariwisata) and Marketing division (Bidang Pemasaran). I focused my internship program in one division, it was tourism division. Here I could learn about tourism object in Banyuwangi and how to manage the tourism object become famous and attract tourists. I chose this division because I thought this division often accepts foreigners so that I could apply my speaking English when I faced them. Tourism division usually handles the management of tourism in Banyuwangi. There are some activities doing in this division, they are activities is organizing Banyuwangi festival, handling letter, and recapitulating data. Beside manage the tourism object, I also conducted some activities such as giving information to the guest, recapitulating and filing data hotel and restaurant. The objectives of my internship program are to apply my skills and knowledge that I got from the English Study Program such as English for Tour and Travel, Pengelolahan Biro perjalanan, Public Relation, English for secretary and English for Correspondence. Second is to know and get experiences in managing the tourism and cultures in Banyuwangi. The last is to try in learning optimally and actively. During I conducted my internship program, I got some problems such as when I recapitulated restaurant, hotel, tourism object and Satuan Kerja Perngkat Daerah (SKPD) the manual data was not balance with the computer data, so that I ask other staff to help me to find out the data that have entire yet in the computer. I concluded that Banyuwangi Culture and Tourism Department is an appropriate place to conduct the internship program. It is because I got a lot of experiences and knowledge. So, I can apply the skill that I have ever got from my college.
