Tourism is an activity that brings a leisure to individual or societies related with human
right to rest from their daily activities to improvement the quality of lifeand the creations of
better living conditions.Jember is one of the cities in East Java that has a lot of potential tourism
objects there are many kinds of tourism objects that other people outside Jember know such as
Papuma beach for one of the option for natural tourism objects, Botani garden for a human made
tourism objects and also JFC as the one of the well-known annual cultural events in Jember.
There are also many kinds of tour and travel business in Jember, one of tour and travel agency in
Jember is PT. Java Entertainment Tour and travel that familiar with Java Tour and Travel. For
those reasons, the writer decided to make a promotional media in form a tour and travel booklet.
The booklet served as promotional and informational media for tourists of Java Tour and
Travel which arranged in three parts. It contained a company profile, tourism packages and
facilities options complete with the description about tourism packages, and the last is closing
parts consists of detail information of contact person and crew biography. The first part of the
booklet tells a history of Java tour and travel, vision and mission of the company and the second
part is focusing on the Java tour and travel’s product consists of flight ticket reservation, umroh
and hajj tour package and the tourism packages that consist of various destinations, while in the
last part this booklet focusing on the biography of the owner and organizational structure
complete with the contact person. In addition, this booklet was developed in bilingual versions,
English and Indonesian versions.
The first part of this booklet tells a history of Java tour and travel, vision and mission of
the company. The second part is focusing on the Java tour and travel’s product consists of flight
ticket reservation, umroh and hajj tour package and the tourism packages that consist of various
destinations such as : Bounty cruise, Menjangan Island tour package, Yogyakarta and Malang
tour packages, and also additional information such as recommended hotel, bus and merchandise
store options related with particular tourism destination. While in the last part this bookletviii
focusing on the biography of the owner and organizational structure complete with the contact
person. In addition, this bookletwas developed in bilingual versions, English and Indonesian
versions. Furthermore, it will printedabout 20 pages and 15 x 21 cm in size. That could make the
booklet interesting and easy to keep. To making booklet for Java tour and travel, the writer used
the step from deciding the idea until improving the writing of the contents of making a booklet
consist of 8 steps.They are: Deciding idea, Focusing the data, Outlining Book, Writing Book,
Reviewing the writing, Improving the writing, Revising the writing, and the last step is Binding
the book.
Developing this booklet took much time and efforts. Firstly, the writer needs to observe
kinds of facilities and services that provided by Java Tour and Travel. Secondly, the writer had to
conduct legal interview with Representative of Java Tour and Travel in order to collect the data.
Then, the last step after gathering the whole needed information is to develop the booklet.The
writer hopes this booklet can be a promotional media for Java Tour and Travel and
recommendthe customers to get best choices for having a vacation.:
