The Interest of Younger Generation In Jember Regency

ABSTRACT
Jember regency is one of the food barn which has the greatest contribution to East Java food supply with a procerement contribution of 17% of the national total. however, Agricultural Data Census in Jember Regency show the decreasing number of farming household of 2,99% every year that decline numbers caused by the lack of human resourches and generation of farmers. Considering most of farmers are eldery between 40-50 years and have relatively low education level and the transition of interest of productive age population who are more interested to work in other economic sector. The research aims to deterimine the effect of sosiodemografi, attidunial, dancontectual factors on interest of young people in agricultural sector in Jember district. The research method is explanatory research with technical data analysis using structural equation modeling partial least squares. This research was conducted on the young generation with age 16th years old until 30th. Years old in Jember Regency. The data collection using 100 respondents and cluster sampling technic. The result showed that the factors of sosio – demography, attitude and contextual have a signifikan and positive influence on the interest of younger generation in Jember Regency. As for each variable has a direct coefficient of influence value of 0.4133 for the sociodemography factors, , 4,4281 for the attitude factors and 0,1945 for the contextual factors
