ASSISTING THE CHILDREN’S ACTIVITIES AT KAMPUNG WISATA BELAJAR TANOKER
SUMMARY
Assisting the Children’s Activities at Kampung Wisata Belajar Tanoker, Kadek Alan Darmawangsa Sidiq, F31140506, 2017, 30 Pages. English Study Program, Politeknik Negeri Jember, Adriadi Novawan S.Pd., M.Ed. (Internal Supervisor).
The report of Internship Program that has been conducted for 512 hours which was started on March, 16th up to May 23rd 2017 at one of tourism villages or learning communities in Jember named Kampung Wisata Belajar Tanoker. Kampung Wisata Belajar Tanoker was the place where the writer could do a good teamwork with the staffs and interact with many people. Besides, Kampung Wisata Belajar Tanoker gives an opportunity to the children and parents around Ledokombo to learn about English which could improve the writer’s English skills while assisting the children.
Kampung Wisata Belajar Tanoker’s organization consists of four divisions, it covers Secretariat Division, Finance Division, Community Development Division and Business Development Division. Community Development Division is divided into two sub divisions; those are Children Assistance Team and Sub Division of Organizing and Advocacy Team. Meanwhile, Business Development Division also has two sub divisions, it covers Tourism Village Team or Event Organizer and Tanocraft Team.
During the internship program at Kampung Wisata Belajar Tanoker, there were some activities that the writer did, such as receiving the guests, making company profile video, being a committee of “pasar lumpur” and assisting the children’s activities. Among all of those activities, the writer focused on assisting the children. Then, there were four activities for the children’s assistance, those were planning the activities, preparing the equipment, during the children’s assistance and evaluating the activities.
During the internship program, there were some problems that the writer faced. The jobs at Kampung Wisata Belajar Tanoker were a little bit different from the writer’s expectations and the writer could not communicate well with the new people and the children around Ledokombo, but all the staffs of Kampung Wisata Belajar Tanoker had taught, helped and motivated the writer to keep going. However, all of the difficulties that the writer faced were the new way to find something better in the future.
In conclusion, Kampung Wisata Belajar Tanoker was the appropriate place to do the internship program because the writer could get new experiences and knowledge in a real workplace. Besides, the writer also could apply his English skills during the internship program at Kampung Wisata Belajar Tanoker. Thus, everything that had been passed will be very useful for the writer in the future after finishing his education in State Polytechnic of Jember.
