Legal Text Translation, A Translation Activity in TransBahasa Malang, Adelina Damayanti, Nim. F31141138, Year 2017, 44 pages, Language, Communication, and Tourism Department, Politeknik Negeri Jember, Enik Rukiati, S.Pd., M.Pd (Supervisor) and Iwan Kurniarahman S.S (Field Supervisor).

Internship is the implementation of the knowledge achieved during the study period through working in the related institution or company in order to get the real experience before graduating and entering the work field in the future. Through internship, students may gain several experiences and knowledge they did not get during their study. Internship considered to be able to help the students understand the non-academic concept use in the real life and the demand in the industrial world. Therefore, most of the educational institutions require their students to join the internship program before finishing their study.
As one of the student of Language, Communication, and Tourism Department in State Polytechnic of Jember, the writer submitted the internship proposal to TransBahasa, a translation service company located in Malang, East Java. This is due to the writer’s aim to understand more about being a professional translator. Besides, TransBahasa has cooperated with many foreign companies that will also help the writer to understand the demand in the foreign industries in term of translation.
After conducting internship program at TransBahasa for three months was very beneficial for the writer, because the writer got new knowledges and new experiences. The writer did several activities at TransBahasa such as Translating various texts, mostly legal text, and assisting seminar. During doing the internship program activities the writer got some problems, the problem occur when the writer translating legal text because the writer not familiar with some of terms in legal text. To solve the problem, the writer browsed the meaning on internet and dictionary.
