ABSTRACT

The development of science and technology progresses rapidly. Many innovations are always popping up and changing every year. Application of metal material has a very important role to the development of technology, especially in the industrial and automotive world. Fiberglass can be used in various alternatives or for metal material substitutes. This study used limestone which aims to increase the value of material strange and toughness. Limestone is a sedimentary rocks that contains a lot of calcite minerals (calcium carbonate). Limestone acts as a binder of a constituent, this is because the limestone contains calcium carbonate that server as an adhesive. The purpose of this study to determine effect of addition limestone as a fiberglassmixture to strength and toughness of material. The result of this study is the states that amount of energy absorbed in limestone variatios at  0,5 gram with value of 89,236 Joule. The yield of tensile strength also states that limestone variations at 0,5 gram has the greatest value with value of 29,268 N/mm2.</note>
